Geeklist launches out of Private Beta

[18-June-2012]
SAN FRANCISCO, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Geeklist announces it has launched out of Private Beta. Now Geeks worldwide can join, invite friends, build communities, create achievement cards and grow their GeekCred™. Geeklist recently became the first company to push code commits into the Facebook Open Graph and they released GeekIt™, becoming the first resource for developers to share bookmarks, links and resources with their peers and in relevant communities.

Geeklist was Founded in April of 2011, by Christian Sanz and Reuben Katz, to solve the problem developers have of sharing what they have really accomplished and the problem companies have of finding the right developers. They have raised over $900k to date and built a vibrant community that makes developers lives better everyday.

We have been in Private Beta since September ’11, when the only way in was through limited releases of invite codes. After increasing the invite releases in January we’ve grown by over 245% while still in Private Beta. But it’s not only developers wanting to get in. We have over 200+ companies lined up to share with developers the great achievements they’ve accomplished as companies and find developers to hire, and it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Our public launch includes nearly 40,000 developers and an A-list of companies using our services including; Spotify, Yammer, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Joyent, Eventbrite, Klout, BitTorrent, MongoDB/10Gen, Ooyala, Wooga, Red Bull, Solar Winds and dozens more behind the scenes.

Welcome to Geeklist.

Geeklist is a San Francisco-based company connecting developers to each other and companies in the global technology industry. We give developers value that makes their lives better, helps them build relationships that are relevant to them and to their careers and provide a platform for companies to market to and hire the world’s most valuable resource. Geeks.
