Esurance Launches Second Annual Campaign To Support Crisis Intervention For LGBTQ Youth

$50,000 Donation to The Trevor Project Features Unique Interactive Mosaic on Facebook

SAN FRANCISCO, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal car insurance company, has kicked off its second annual charitable giving campaign on Facebook in support of The Trevor Project.

In their second year as a National Corporate Partner, Esurance will raise awareness about Trevor’s newest campaign called “NTL,” text shorthand for “need to talk live.” NTL is about making it easy to ask for and to offer help when messaging with a friend and immediate support is needed. With just three simple letters, a person can let a friend know that they need to talk live, and the friend knows to connect right away, face-to-face or on the phone.

The public can help support this potentially life-saving initiative by posting their Facebook profile picture to the NTL photo mosaic on Esurance’s Facebook page until August 1, 2012. Esurance will donate $5 for every photo uploaded, up to $50,000. The mosaic is shareable on Facebook, and a search tool enables visitors to look up their friends’ photos. They can also hover over a photo to enlarge it and see unique messages from other supporters.
